Job Summary:

Provide valuable financial support services to the University community. This includes performing accounting duties related to accounting and reporting for grant accounting, grant award set-ups, budget transfers, corrections, monthly reconciliations, accounts receivable, and corresponding with outside granting agencies. This position also assists faculty and staff with various grant accounting needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounts receivable balance.
• Grant award set-ups including budgets.
• Request cash drawdowns and complete monthly reconciliations for grants and contract.
• Grant management including corrections, transfers, invoicing, financial reports, and award closeout.
• Correspond with outside granting agencies and University Grants and Contracts department to verify billing details.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with four (4) years of experience in governmental or commercial accounting.
• One (1) years of experience in grants or contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Higher Education.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of People soft Financials.
• Team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
