RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager in Linthicum, MD.Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations, excluding payroll. The ideal candidate will lead a team of three accountants and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar system is essential for this role.Key Responsibilities:- Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end process
- Manage and mentor a team of three accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and provide financial insights
- As an Accounting Manager, you will utilize Microsoft Dynamics NAV to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
- Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting operations
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 6 years minimum of accounting experience
- 5 years of management/supervisor experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
