Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Pediatric and Public Health provides oral health care for individuals from infancy through adolescence, and promotes the prevention of oral disease. The Public Health discipline is a dynamic unit that offers educational programs including community rotations, a dental public health residency program, and an Oral Epidemiology PhD program.
Position Summary:This Adjunct Professor position will be expected to engage in Course Instruction and Curriculum Development: Designing and delivering courses related to dental public health at various academic levels (dental hygiene and dental students, students in advanced dental education programs.)
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Dental degree, advanced education in public health, and research experience.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:Advanced education in dental public health, ABDPH-eligible or board certified, grant-writing experience, teaching experience and demonstrated experience in a comparable academic setting.
