Advanced Mechanical Engineer

Middeltown, RI

Contract Position

$49.79-$54.79/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and test mechanical and electro-mechanical systems used in mission-critical submarine applications.
• Create mechanical models and drawings using CAD tools that comply with ASME Y14.5 and Y14.100 standards.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses to meet environmental requirements specific to submarine systems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, plus 5+ years of experience; or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong proficiency in CAD tools for creating 3D models and technical data packages.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as compliance with technical, government, and industry standards.
• Preferred Experience:
  • Designing electro-mechanical systems for defense applications.
  • Performing structural and thermal analyses to ensure reliability in submarine environments.
