The Department of Political Science at the University of Miami invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 15, 2025. The department seeks candidates in the field of Comparative Politics. We are particularly interested in applicants who can contribute to existing university programs in Latin American Studies, Global Black Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Climate Resilience, Global Health, Data Science, Public Policy, or Democracy. Advanced methodological skills are also desirable, particularly in machine learning, AI, or computational modeling. The expected teaching commitment is 2-2. Candidates should have a PhD or anticipate PhD completion by August 15, 2025. In some circumstances, ABDs with exceptional promise will be considered for appointment at the rank of Lecturer, with conversion to Assistant Professor upon completion of PhD.
