RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Maiden, NC that is seeking a BIM Consultant.Summary:We are seeking a BIM Consultant with strong technical expertise, particularly in MacOS systems, to support a data center project in the Charlotte Metro area. This role will involve technical leadership in BIM modeling and automation processes while working within a cross-functional team. Candidates should possess a mix of hard and soft skills, being comfortable with ambiguity and excited about ongoing learning within a fast-paced, evolving environment.As a BIM Developer/Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in documenting and coordinating architectural, construction, and operational models for a variety of mission-critical facilities. You'll collaborate across multiple technical disciplines, contributing to the management of BIM-related initiatives under the guidance of the BIM Program Manager.Responsibilities:- BIM Technical Leadership: Confirm and lead BIM modeling and automation processes Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in managing workflows, collaborating with various teams, and owning the automation of BIM processes
- Technical Proficiency: Candidates must be experienced with MacOS systems, demonstrating a minimum level of proficiency in using and working with Apple/Mac systems
- Communication & Collaboration: Soft skills such as flexibility, multitasking, and effective communication are essential. The role requires a willingness to ask questions, adapt priorities, and learn within a fast-paced environment
- Problem-Solving & Resourcefulness: Candidates will need to navigate ambiguity within the company's internal tools and ecosystem and should feel comfortable working through non-streamlined processes
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience in construction of high-tech infrastructure or mission-critical facilities preferred
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and reality capture applications; familiarity with AutoCAD, IFC, and data interoperability
- Experience with scripting and visual programming automation tools such as Dynamo and Python preferred
- Strong skills in Navisworks, including real-time navigation of 3D models and file management
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, project tracking, and analysis
- Background in drafting and modeling desirable
- Familiarity with CAD and BIM templates, Revit/APS API experience advantageous
- Experience in MEP engineering considered a plus
- Candidates with a portfolio showcasing relevant BIM and automation experience are strongly preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
