Business Strategy Planning Director -California

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Must reside within 50 miles/1 hour commute of the posted Elevance Health locations.

The Business Strategy Planning Director - California Region is tasked with overseeing the strategic provider network planning for the California Region. This position reports directly to the VP of CA Healthcare Networks and collaborates closely with California Plan Presidents on strategic initiatives.

How you will make an impact:

• Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define strategy and successful criteria for the future.
• Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.
• Interacts with and makes recommendations to senior leadership from the California and Enterprise on major immediate, short term and long-term strategic initiatives.
• Rolls out strategic initiatives to California Healthcare Network leaders and their teams and monitors and reports on the teams' success in delivering on those initiatives.
• Documents strategic priorities such as external environment and reports on customer insight research initiatives.
• Builds and leverages relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
• Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.
• Responsible for the development implementation and monitoring of line of business planning and project activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 to 5 year strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Master's degree preferred.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
• Strong capability to understand the broader vision while attending to the intricate details.
• Knowledge and experience in network development, adequacy, and expansion, with a strong preference for experience with all lines of business providers and California provider markets.
• Ability to travel to worksite and other necessary locations.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $152,260 to $248,250
