Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking aBuyer.The Buyer is responsible for the procurement of materials, products, and services. The teammate's responsibilities include but are not limited to; processing requisitions and purchase orders, negotiating and enforcing Nucor's commercial and legal terms and conditions, developing and maintaining relationships with key vendors and contractors, contributing to Nucor's enterprise-wide purchasing efforts, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, maintaining supplier compliance files, and coordinating with operating departments on cost savings and improved processes.

Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor's new sheet mill with advanced steelmaking capabilities. This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be fully operational in 2026. The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producingup to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV. This is a full-time position located at our offices in Mason County, WV.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• The equivalent of three years of Purchasing or Business-relatedexperience in manufacturing, industrial, or constructionenvironment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with a large construction and/or capital project.
• Experience in the following disciplines: contract management, internal controls, inventory management, negotiations, procurement, insurance, risk management, or warehouse.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent applicable experience.
