The Department of Surgery/Division of Abdominal Transplantation at the Stanford University School of Medicine seeks a Transplant Surgeon to join the Division in the next year. The candidate is expected to further develop strong clinical programs in pediatric and adult liver, kidney, small bowel, and multi-organ transplant surgery. This faculty position will be at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor level in the Clinician Educator Line (CE) at Stanford University. The major criterion for appointment for Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administration and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Applicants must have an MD or MD/PhD and have completed a fellowship in transplant surgery. Significant interest and expertise in contributing to our pediatric transplant program is desired. The successful candidate is expected to have excellent clinical skills and collaborative abilities. They should be committed to providing excellent training for residents and fellows.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Clinical Assistant Professor: $420,000 - $450,000

Clinical Associate Professor: $495,000 - $549,000

Clinical Professor: $531,000 - $679,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It may not include all components of faculty compensation or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs. Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position.
