The Tulane University Department of Neurosurgery at East Jefferson General Hospital is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, which is a faculty position.
Clinical responsibilities will include participation in the care of neurological/neurosurgical patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings primarily focused at East Jefferson General Hospital or other facilities as needed. The call expectations are minimal. The candidate will be expected to actively participate in administrative activity, including institutional and departmental committees, active participation in departmental conferences such as Neurosurgery Grand Rounds, Morbidity & Mortality Conference, and faculty meetings. This position is a Mon-Fri position. Tulane has an excellent and very competitive benefits package.
Master of Science in Nursing. Work experience with patients in a hospital/clinic setting is essential.
Required - Current Certified Physician Assistant license or State of Louisiana License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority as outlined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
