About the Job

Are you ready to shape the future of medicine? The race is on to speed up drug discovery and development to find answers for patients and their families. Your skills could be critical in helping our teams accelerate progress. Join our Developability & Preformulation Sciences (DPFS) team as a Scientist and you'll help secure Sanofi's promising biologics pipeline. DPFS is part of the global Biologics Drug Product Development and Manufacturing (BioDPD&M) organization, a critical R&D function enabling the manufacturing of stable and deliverable dosage forms along the complete development timeline from molecule selection to commercial tech transfer.

We are an innovative global healthcare company with one purpose: to chase the miracles of science to improve people's lives. We're also a company where you can flourish and grow your career, with countless opportunities to explore, make connections with people, and stretch the limits of what you thought was possible. Ready to get started?

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be part of a team with global responsibility for enabling candidate selection within Sanofi's promising pipeline of biotherapeutics and for determining the formulation design space for a variety of biotherapeutic modalities.
  • Help chart the roadmap to continuously improving capabilities in the prediction, characterization, and control of the molecular liabilities that limit the development of stable and manufacturable drugs.
  • Serve as a team and technical leader in BioDPD&M, where you will act as a critical facilitator of the Research-to-Development transition and play an important role in laying the foundation for successful commercial formulations.
  • Be responsible for planning and executing developability assessments and preformulation workflows, collaborating with colleagues in discovery, protein engineering, analytics, drug substance process development, and project management.
  • Design and lead laboratory research focused in the areas of therapeutic candidate credentialing technologies, characterization of protein solution properties, and the molecular basis of high concentration behaviors.

About You

Experience:
  • Broad working knowledge of and hands-on experience with biochemical and biophysical characterization methods such as chromatography, electrophoresis, UV/CD/fluorescence spectroscopies, calorimetry, light scattering, and sedimentation.

Soft and technical skills:
  • Strong work ethic, team- and project-focused attitude, and motivation to produce high quality results on an aggressive timeline. Solid understanding of protein structure, chemistry, and degradation mechanisms.

Education:
  • PhD in Biochemistry or a related discipline.

Why Choose Us?
  • Bring the miracles of science to life alongside a supportive, future-focused team.
  • Discover endless opportunities to grow your talent and drive your career, whether it's through a promotion or lateral move, at home or internationally.
  • Enjoy a thoughtful, well-crafted rewards package that recognizes your contribution and amplifies your impact.
  • Take good care of yourself and your family, with a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits including high-quality healthcare, prevention and wellness programs and at least 14 weeks' gender-neutral parental leave.
