RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Saint Augustine, FL seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Co Controller to join their dynamic team as they continue to grow and expand their operations.Overview:The Co Controller will oversee all financial aspects of the company, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective management of financial operations. This role will involve supervising the accounting team, managing financial reporting, and collaborating with senior management to support strategic decision-making.Responsibilities:- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate the preparation of annual financial statements and audits
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including assigning tasks, reviewing work, and conducting performance evaluations
- Provide guidance and training to enhance the skills and capabilities of the accounting team
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor and analyze budget performance, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis
- Provide strategic recommendations based on financial data and analysis
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting and financial operations
- Implement and oversee new financial systems, tools, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and support cross-functional projects
REQUIREMENTS:
- To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
- Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
