The Stanford Center for Dissemination and Implementation (CDI) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a full-time hybrid Communications Director to work with leadership to develop and implement communications and marketing initiatives.
CDI is a leading center for implementation science that drives the effort to get the best and latest treatments to all patients (https://med.stanford.edu/cdi.html). CDI consists of three national federally-funded implementation centers:
·The Center for Dissemination and Implementation At Stanford (C-DIAS), National Institute on Drug Abuse (P50DA05402)
·The Research Adoption Support Center (RASC), National Institutes of Health Healing Addiction Long Term (HEAL) initiative (U2CDA057717)
·And, the new National Center for Mental Health Dissemination, Implementation, and Sustainment (MHDIS), Substance Use and Mental Health Services Administration (H79SM090078).
The Communications Director will provide strategic direction for marketing and communications activities across projects. They will work with leadership, staff, and national consultants to develop communications plans to disseminate and share our mission, goals, and work. We are looking for a high energy, creative, and mission-driven person, with at least five years of expertise across multiple communication platforms. We seek a professional with proven expertise in executing campaigns that build awareness of a brand and its services, preferably for a non-profit or mission-driven organization; expertise in translating scientific content to lay audiences; expertise with digital, web, print, and social media marketing; demonstrated ability to work with multiple program areas and internal stakeholders; experience or interest in a mental health, addiction, health, or social service-related field; and expertise with brand management. This position is an excellent opportunity to have meaningful societal impact with national visibility. This position is hybrid with Tuesdays/Thursdays based in Stanford's Research Park.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
·Previous experience in product, program and/or services marketing.
·Ability to drive cross-functional groups toward a common goal.
·Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
·Understands how to implement integrated marketing programs across channels including digital and print.
·Experience with market research and data analysis.
·Demonstrated problem solver.
·Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
·Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
·Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
·Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
·Rarely sort/file paperwork.

The expected pay range for this position is $108,450 - $133,077 per annum.

The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
