Job Details:
Summary: The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager will facilitate projects aimed at enhancing team member safety, food quality, on-time delivery, inventory management, cost reduction, and process performance improvements. This role requires efficient leadership to integrate Continuous Improvement initiatives, fostering operational excellence.
Responsibilties:
Facilitate successful Kaizen and rapid improvement process events.
Assist in data collection to identify opportunities and track improvements.
Ensure all activities comply with established safety and environmental standards.
Demonstrate a commitment to Lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
Develop strategies and programs to improve productivity and efficiency.
Instruct team members in continuous process improvements, including problem-solving and productivity techniques such as process mapping, standardized work, Six Sigma, and cost/time management.
Facilitate Continuous Improvement projects, cost reductions, and process performance improvements.
Maintain CI implementation schedules and provide progress updates and documentation linking CI implementation to plant operations improvements.
Provide CI training and coaching to all organizational levels.
Interface with plant leadership on staffing, manpower, time, and capacity analysis projects.
Calculate cost reductions and perform analyses to determine optimal problem-solving methods.
Partner with the Plant Controller to document savings and profit results from CI activities.
Track all CI projects and report progress to plant staff.
Evaluate and confirm production standards for products.
Monitor department equipment OEE and work with Maintenance to identify maintenance, repair, and TPM targets and opportunities.
Develop value stream maps for each process and value stream family within the facility.
Utilize continuous improvement and cost reduction concepts in job functions.
Perform other duties as directed by the Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement.
