Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a skilled Controller to join their team in Douglasville, Georgia. This direct hire opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $110k - $125k base, plus bonus. The Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations, including GL management, accounts payable and receivable, and inventory management.
• Reconcile all general ledger accounts, resolving complex discrepancies through thorough account analysis and research.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and review accruals and various journal entries for month-end processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including managing the month-end close process.
• Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain data integrity and compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors to support annual audits and tax filings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managerial, hands-on accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have advanced MS Excel skills.
• Highly skilled in monthly close processes, accruals preparation, General Ledger management, Journal Entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Must have strong experience utilizing QuickBooks.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Accounting certification, such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is a plus though not required.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 1st shift.
