Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Memphis is seeking a Crane and Mobile Technician who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do. This role supports the coordination and execution of safely maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading all overhead traveling cranes and plant mobile equipment. This role will include constant coordination and building relationships between all departments, to ensure the highest reliability of our overhead cranes with the highest regard for safety of all teammates. This teammate must have the ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and unscheduled overtime.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office, outlook, Excel, and Word
- Basic Electrical Knowledge for Controls and Motors
- Hands-on experience with AC / DC Drives technologies
- Two years of industrial electrical experience
- High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with PLC technologies and ladder logic.
- Prior experience (1-2 years) with mechanical maintenance on heavy equipment.
- Prior overhead crane maintenance experience (1-2 years)
