About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director, Workday Product Manager to join our IT Corporate Applications department. This role will work closely with HR stakeholders, business partners, and IT tech leads to achieve our business objectives.
The Director, Workday Product Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of HR technology solutions, particularly focusing on Workday. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure the successful delivery of HR systems that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications in collaboration with business stakeholders, SMEs, and solution architects.
- Prioritize requirements based on business impact and feasibility in partnership with HR Operations.
HR Technology Expertise:
- Act as a subject matter expert on HR technology, providing guidance and recommendations on system functionality and improvements.
- Partner with HR to drive the vision and strategy for HR Technology, build engagement and collaboration, and prepare HR for ongoing success with HR systems, including Workday.
Roadmap Development:
- Collaborate with HR to develop the overall HR Systems roadmap to align with organizational goals.
- Stay informed of the Workday roadmap and provide inputs into the Workday roadmap.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and understand complex problems, and engage the IT team to outline the most optimal solution.
- Partner with internal technology teams and vendors to ensure alignment in delivering business objectives.
Hands-On HR Systems Experience:
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or other HRIS/HRMS platforms).
- Ensure accurate process documentation is maintained for HR system processes.
Proof of Concepts and Process Improvement:
- Develop proof of concepts based on business requirements and recommend efficient end-to-end business processes.
- Help the Production Support team to debug and troubleshoot production issues.
Agile Project Management:
- Work with the Agile IT team to ensure the success of projects.
- Be an active participant in the Workday Community and advocate for Everest's business needs.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of configuration experience in one or more Workday modules: Benefits, Absence, Payroll, Time Tracking, and Learning.
- Functional understanding in one or more HR topic areas: HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Payroll, Time Tracking, Learning, and/or Talent & Recruiting.
- Experience in HR Analytics and tools like Prism.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Workday integrations and technical terminologies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and respond with a sense of urgency to urgent needs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to exchange information effectively and maintain confidentiality.
- Team player with a commitment to the goals and objectives of the team.
- Adaptable to change and proactive in pursuing developmental activities.
- Demonstrates knowledge about technology and participates in training and development initiatives to stay current with trends.
- Ability to influence the work efforts of others and manage time and workload effectively.
