ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and apply forward-looking financial models and analyses to provide insights into organizational operations, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Present monthly financial statements on an accrual and cash basis, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
* Manage cash flow, banking, and investment relationships to ensure optimal financial operations and fund availability.
* Lead Hudson's accounting team, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to recordkeeping, budgets, and accounting systems.
* Oversee financial compliance for federal contracts, grants, and internal controls, including project financials and tax filings.
* Coordinate the annual audit process, working closely with the Board of Trustees' Audit and Risk Committee and managing investment oversight and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a preference for nonprofit experience.
* CPA or MBA designation is required.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with an ability to effectively collaborate with senior management and diverse teams.
* Strong leadership and management experience, with a track record of building and supervising finance teams.
* Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high standards of accuracy in financial operations.
* Commitment to Hudson Institute's mission, with the ability to represent the organization to financial partners and public officials professionally and ethically.
