OVERVIEW

Full-time/Permanent Employee

Location: Remote

As a Manufacturing Engineer IV, you will be responsible for conceiving, investigating, evaluating, and making recommendations for new equipment, tooling, and processes to enhance safety, reliability, capacity, and cost efficiency. With extensive technical expertise and a systematic problem-solving approach, you will develop and implement technical solutions to complex manufacturing and industrial engineering challenges. This role is crucial in ensuring our manufacturing processes are safe, reliable, and efficient while maintaining high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness. As a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer IV, you will be dedicated to driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within our organization.

The proposed salary range for this position is $114,900-$153,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceive, investigate, evaluate, and recommend new equipment, tooling, and processes to improve safety, reliability, capacity, and reduce costs.
  • Perform complex analysis, design, and assembly related to manufacturing or industrial engineering projects.
  • Investigate and analyze unique or highly technical manufacturing or industrial engineering assignments, providing technical assistance in establishing operational procedures and methods.
  • Conduct technical surveillance of a complex nature in the control of product, design concepts, and specification requirements.
  • Evaluate engineering changes and determine appropriate labor or equipment standards to meet specification requirements.
  • Utilize systematic problem solving and data collection to identify and resolve problems, including driving cost and downtime reduction.
  • Lead and/or participate in health, safety, environmental, production, material control, Six Sigma, and R&D project teams.
  • Write weekly activity and project reports, develop action plans, and generate work instructions, test procedures, and other documentation to support production operations.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance (Active Secret Clearance preferred)
  • Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 8 - 10 years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 6 - 8 years of experience.

  • Recognized as an emerging authority, applying extensive technical expertise.
  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience in evaluating engineering changes and setting appropriate labor or equipment standards.
  • Proficient in leading and participating in multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, production, material control, Six Sigma, and R&D processes.
  • Ability to write detailed reports, develop action plans, and create comprehensive work instructions and test procedures.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • AM or Aerospace Certifications preferred
