Volt is immediately hiring for an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Tech for an industry leader in Aerospace and Defense in Irvine Ca

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician you will:

• Perform cable assembly with crimping and soldering.
• Assemble PCBs with through-hole and SMT components.
• Assemble electro-mechanical systems, including cables, PCBs, electrical enclosures, and custom racks, involving cable routing and point-to-point wiring.
• Read and interpret drawings, wiring lists, schematics, and bills of materials.
• Use small hand tools to modify plastic and metal parts.
• Operate metal fabricating equipment like drill presses, brakes, and cutoff saws.
• Redline electrical and mechanical drawings and coordinate with the appropriate person to implement changes.

This is a Full Time Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or senior level, self-starter with over or minimum of ten (10) years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• IPC Certifications
  • IPC-A-610
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620
  • J-STD-001
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.

Pay Rate: $25.00-$32.00

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
