Job Description Summary
This position develops modern, accessible, maintainable, and secure web applications. They connect user interfaces with data and logic. This position also supports back end software, including but not limited to REST APIs, databases, and libraries.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Job Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Design, develop, and support software on a consistent, predictable cadence.
• Apply database design principles to ensure data consistency, reliability, and reduced redundancy.
• Interface with back-end services for data and business logic including but not limited to REST APIs, web services, file systems, databases, and libraries.
• Leverage an in-depth understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms to ensure the modularity, maintainability, security, and performance of web applications.
• Use requirements to create and maintain technical design documents.
• Ensure the accessibility compliance of software applications.
• Translate mock-ups into responsive user interfaces.
• Monitor software for bugs and other deficiencies and resolve priority issues.
• Apply Agile software development concepts to continuously deliver high-value software to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Information Technology required with an emphasis on web and software engineering.
• 1-4 years of professional experience in a Software Engineer role, or equivalent role.

Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:

• Intermediate skills with semantic and accessible HTML, Accessibility Standards, Responsive Design, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, AND
• Intermediate skills with ASP .NET, .NET Core, MVC, C#, Visual Studio, IIS, AND
• Intermediate skills with web-based authentication mechanisms, including but not limited to cookie-based, token-based, OAuth, and SAML, AND
• Professional experience with distributed and centralized source control systems

Work Environment

• Work will happen in a hybrid environment, with majority of work occurring virtually

Physical Requirements

• Sitting: This role requires extended periods of sitting while performing tasks and utilizing computer systems.
• Mobility: While much of the work is desk-based, occasional mobility may be necessary for attending meetings, office tours, or events within the workplace.
• Repetitive Motions: Capacity to perform repetitive motions, such as typing, without discomfort or injury.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, candidates, and stakeholders, both in-person and through electronic means.

Additional Information

Pay Rate: $27.47 per hour.
Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data. Note: Internal applicants' wage will be based upon the applicable compensation guidelines.
