Summary:

As the FSQA Manager, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding our products and ensuring they meet the highest standards. You will manage all activities within the FSQA department, from overseeing food safety programs and product quality to managing departmental budgets, ensuring adherence to Tyson FSQA policies, and working closely with corporate and plant teams. Your expertise in HACCP, SSOP, and regulatory compliance will ensure our facility operates efficiently, safely, and in line with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily management of production practices, including raw material receiving, preoperational and operational sanitation, and finished product quality.

Ensure compliance with all Tyson FSQA policies and procedures, including government regulations.

Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP and SSOP inspection programs.

Lead special projects, managing departmental budgets, labor, and safety.

Monitor microbiological results, conduct bacterial swabs, and generate shelf-life and environmental graphs.

Serve as the plant liaison to USDA and other regulatory bodies.

Investigate and respond to customer complaints, coordinate plant tours, audits, and customer interactions.

Oversee and mentor FSQA Supervisors and Technicians.

Conduct and promote sanitation training and education for employees.

Requirements:

Education: bachelor's degree in a related field preferred and or experience.

Experience: 3+ years in a food safety or quality assurance role.

Computer Skills: Proficient in generating spreadsheets and templates, with solid experience in plant management software.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with team members from all levels of the organization.

Special Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently while collaborating with various departments.

Other Skills: Manage and mentor a team of eight direct reports, ensuring flexibility in scheduling to meet the team's needs.
