Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:

• Ability to operate a variety of turf and grounds maintenance equipment, riding, zero turn and push mowers, line trimmers, tractors, and paint machines
• Ability to communicate verbally and receive instructions that may require duties to be completed individually or as part of a team
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and make decisions
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, prepare work logs and records, perform basic math
• Ability to perform strenuous physical duties outdoors in various weather conditions, including walking long distances
• Ability to work in inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications:

• Texas Department of Agriculture -Pesticide Applicators License.
• Experience maintaining and/or marking athletic fields.

Job Description:

Responsible for providing attractive, safe, and well maintained grounds.

Job Duties:

• Mow and trim grounds.
• Pick up litter.
• Fertilize soil.
• Conduct chemical weed control.
• Maintain and mark fields.
• Prepare field for games.
• Maintain, service, and adjust equipment.
• Maintain work logs, mileage, and equipment manuals and chemical records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information to Applicants:

• This position requires driving University vehicles.
