Hays Facilities Management are partnered with a prestigious museum in Manhattan to hire a Head of Engineering & Facilities.

Your new role

The job duties for the Head of Engineering & Facilities will include, among others:

• Execution of strategy and preventive maintenance functions for building engineering
• Creating SOP's, standards and initiatives in support of a new facility/equipment
• Management of Building Engineering team
• Oversight of vendors, capex projects and overall facility infrastructure
• Will manage and promote facility staff

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:

• Strong experience in Facilities Engineering supporting high-end institutions
• Technical expertise in HVAC, MEP, Fire systems and other automated controls
• Knowledge of NYC regulations, codes and laws related to building operations
• Strong gravitas and ability to speak to multiple stakeholders across the wider organization

What you'll get in return

• Salary range from $160K-$180K, based on experience, plus world-class benefits and retirement program including defined benefit pension plan! 25 vacation days second year of employment + 14 paid holidays, paid FMLA, and a paid parental leave program.
