In order to ensure your application is complete, you must complete the following:IHC Technologist to work in the Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Laboratory within the Division of Surgical Pathology in the Department of Pathology; performs routine IHC testing in a high volume patient care lab utilizing IHC instruments; processes, sorts, and stains tissue samples; cuts paraffin-embedded tissue blocks; prepares and changes solutions and properly disposes chemical wastes; sorts, delivers and files slides and blocks; accessions specimens into the LIS (Laboratory Information System); assists with ordering, receiving, labeling, and stocking incoming supplies and reagents; assists in the evaluation of new procedures or methods and testing modalities; assists with quality control and quality assurance record keeping; assists in training personnel as needed; completes and organizes paperwork; assists with maintenance of equipment; other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biological Sciences or related field. American Society of Clinical Pathology certification required within one year of hire. 1 year of relevant experience required.
