Location: Charlotte, NC

Job Description: As an Information Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex challenges and contribute to strategic initiatives. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact, focusing on large-scale planning for Information Security Engineering.
• Review and analyze multifaceted Information Security Engineering challenges, considering factors like intangibles and unprecedented situations.
• Contribute to resolving complex situations, demonstrating a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering, demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military service, or education.
• 5+ years of Application Security Engineering experience, including troubleshooting in complex technical environments.
• 2+ years of experience implementing technical solutions in large enterprises (150K+ employees).
• Proficiency with scripting tools such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
• Familiarity with writing SQL queries.
• Experience building and managing MS SQL and/or Oracle databases, including data feeds and ETL processes.

Desired Skills:

• Expert understanding of common application security risks (OWASP Top 10, SANS/CWE Top 25).
• Development experience in Java, .NET (preferred), C#, JavaScript, Python, or other modern OOP languages.
• Management of automated application security testing tools (Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing, Software Composition Analysis).
• Provide strategic and tactical security guidance for secure application development.
• Integration of application security tools into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).
• Recommended application security certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, GWAPT).
• Familiarity with Enterprise vulnerability management systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Strong grasp of secure application design principles (authentication, authorization, encryption, etc.).
• Assist in developing and managing security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Mentor less experienced engineering staff.
