A DAY IN THE LIFE

Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of over 9 laboratories servicing air, water, soil, and toxicity testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.

Our Orange, CA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Assistant to join our Sample Receiving / PUSH team.

Schedule: Mon - Fri second shift (2 - 10:30 pm) after successful training

Starting pay: $17

As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
  • Preparing and weighing samples for digestion or extraction as needed (includes but is not limited to: weighing soils, making composites, crushing samples, incremental sampling, product sampling, etc)
  • Data entry
  • Facility housekeeping/maintenance
  • Perform support tasks as needed
  • Comply with Enthalpy's Quality Assurance Program and other policies
  • Comply with Enthalpy's Health and Safety Plan
  • Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • High School Diploma
  • Basic laboratory techniques (knowledge of PPE, use of balance, pipetting, glassware handling, etc)
  • Basic Excel skills required
  • Must have ability to follow directions and work in a team setting
  • Must be comfortable working with strong acids and solvents
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Detailoriented
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Prior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an entry level position
  • Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
