Job Summary:
Under administrative direction, plans, organizes, directs, reviews and evaluates day to day dispatch center operations, programs, personnel and activities. Develops, recommends and implements policies and procedures, ensures compliance with hospital and FH Security rules and regulations. Provides professional and technical training, assistance and support to dispatch staff and others. Creates a Tier one Studer environment. Promotes and provides quality service.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a dispatch setting is required. A minimum of 3 years experience in a dispatch setting is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. College degree is preferred.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Training in the function and management of a Dispatch Center is required. Training in a 9-1-1 Dispatch Center is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Planning, Organizing, directing and reviewing the work of others. analyzing complex administrative and operational problems, evaluating alternatives and implementing sound recommendations. Collecting, analyzing, interpreting and evaluating varied information an data. Using sound independent judgment within established policy and procedural guidelines. Effective interpersonal communication. Training others and providing for their professional development. Maintaining accurate records.
