A rare opportunity exists to work in our Autonomic Clinic at Wellstar's Center for Cardiovascular Care!
The opportunity to work with Dr. Howard Snapper, a highly specialized physician and one of less than 50 specialists in North America, certified to diagnose and treat autonomic disorders. Dr. Snapper is frequently sought out by doctors nationwide for his exceptional evaluation and specialized knowledge.
Patients living with autonomic disorders often face significant challenges in their daily lives, as these conditions currently lack a cure. However, our Autonomic Clinic is dedicated to helping patients take the first steps toward managing their symptoms, empowering them to feel better and regain a sense of normalcy in their lives.
The autonomic clinic technician (LPN) works under the direction of the Medical Director of the Autonomic Clinic, Director of Practice Operation, Practice Manager, Nurse Manager, and RN Navigator.
The autonomic technician primarily performs Tilt table Testing, Autonomic Nervous System Monitoring (Ansar testing), Sweat Testing, and administers Hydration Therapy. The technician collaborates with Advance practice practitioners, Cardiologists, nurses, and other members of the patient care team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
Required Minimum Education:
Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program is required
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia
Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
Required Minimum Experience:
1 Year of Licensed Practical Nurse experience in an acute care hospital, long term care facility, or other related health care facility
Experience in tilt table testing, sweat testing, ansar testing, intravenous medication administration is preferred.
