Job Summary:
Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc. - Machine Learning Engineer
Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc., in Wauwatosa, WI seeks a Machine Learning Engineer to collaborate with Admins and Analytics leadership to design and architect the platform for establishing Pipelines using Machine Learning Operations principles. Candidate must reside within commuting distance of Froedtert Theda Care Health Woodland Prime location.
Duties Include:
Work with Administrative and Analytics leadership to design and architect the platform for establishing pipelines using Machine Learning Operations principles; work with data scientists and engage in Machine Learning Model development and deployment lifecycle; work with analysts and developers to integrate Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning "ML/AI") results into Analytic Products and/or Business Applications; work with IT Teams to enable and maintain pipelines between Business Applications and ML/AI Results; ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and security standards, including HIPAA, maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive patient information; continuously monitor and assess the performance of deployed models and analytics strategies, making ongoing adjustments and enhancements; develop tools and libraries that support machine learning projects and experiments; provide coaching to the data scientists with engineering solutions for complex ML use-cases and be a champion for utilizing the best practices; continuously explore and assess new technologies, techniques, and tools in machine learning and AI that can enhance the capabilities of existing systems and products; collaborate with Care Providers and Operational Teams on Gemba Walks (in person, onsite observation of workflows); develop, validate and implement advanced algorithms and models for predictive analytics, utilizing machine learning and statistical techniques, to uncover insights, trends, and patterns that are crucial for patient care and health outcomes; extract, clean and analyze data from a variety of sources including electronic health records, patient surveys, operational statistics, etc.; create data visualization and reporting tools to support decision-making processes; stay abreast of industry trends, and best practices in healthcare analytics, applying new knowledge and innovations to ongoing initiatives; work with stakeholders across the organization to understand critical issues and opportunities for data-driven initiatives; communicate complex machine learning concepts to non-technical stakeholders, helping them understand the implications and benefits for business strategy; communicate project status, resolve and/or escalate issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree (or U.S. equivalent) in Statistics/Biostatistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Management Information Systems or related field, plus three years of Data Analysis or Data Scientist experience including each of the following:
· Experience in a health care setting in developing, validating, and implementing advanced algorithms and models for predictive analytics, using machine learning and statistical techniques;
· Quantitative analysis, statistical/predictive modeling and validation, or experimental design in a health care setting;
· Analyzing data using tools such as SPSS, SAS, Python or R from electronic health care records, survey data, or operational data;
· Using SQL to retrieve data sets and perform transformations; and
· Data exploration, cleaning and preparation and analyzing complex data sets.
Candidate must have references for work experience that confirm experience.
