Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Work with leadership and business partners to discuss and understand goals and functional objectives and key business challenges to develop hypotheses around current and future business issues. Identify functional analytics and research objectives and develop tactical research plans. Provide updates to Directors and advise on next steps based on insight objectives and research. Present actionable recommendations to Directors to inform strategic and tactical functional initiatives. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with leadership and other key stakeholders. Build a team to execute on business area or category objectives. Coach team members and provide feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance. Mentor less experienced associates. Own workstreams and individual projects end-to-end for a business area, category or prototype. Manage risk associated with implementation. Develop data models (algorithms, approaches) for workstreams and individual projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborate with project team to implement modeling solutions. Manage the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for workstreams and individual projects. Manage the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Collaborate with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques. Address complex business problems by applying advanced analytics to drive data-driven decision-making. Make strategic recommendations to team based on data analysis. Execute data analysis strategy, including providing guidance to less experienced team members. Collaborate with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for workstreams and individual projects for a business area, category or prototype. Interface with external business partners and vendors. This position does not supervise other employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Analytics (any), or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Analytics (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) design and implementation for data extraction and loading using SQL, Pyspark, and Presto for web and app data. Experience with data manipulation using SQL, including handling complex databases and executing subqueries. Experience with performance tuning, testing, and resolving code bugs. Experience with design and analysis of A/B tests and experiments. Experience with statistical analysis and data science programming in Python and SQL. Experience performing predictive modeling and scientific forecasting using Python, Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Sci-kit-learn. Experience with Machine Learning techniques including statistical inference, regression, and predictive modeling using R language. Experience with packages including dplyr, caret, ggplot2, and h2o. Experience developing visualization dashboards for reporting with advanced interactive features using Tableau and PowerBI. Experience analyzing large structured, unstructured data sets and developing advanced analytics solutions using R and Python programming. Experience developing prototypes, automating complex analyses, and testing hypotheses using Python and R. Experience working in JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project for creation of detailed project plans and roadmaps. Experience with project scheduling and budgeting with time and resource constraints using Gantt Charts. Experience with Big Data tools including Hadoop and Apache Spark for handling big data. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $112,655/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
