The Market Owner Marketing Associate (MOMA) will be responsible for increasing awareness and driving demand through a strategic and collaborative marketing approach. This person will be tasked with understanding their market's specific priorities and landscape. They work alongside hospital leadership to understand trends and create strategic goals. They will identify local opportunities to create brand awareness and continuously build relationships in the community. The ideal person will be a robust marketing resource to the leaders they work with, as well as a source of collaboration and partnership for VQ Marketing.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

  • Identify and help to asses local advertising and community sponsorship opportunities
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for market specific events/seasons/etc
  • Have a deep understanding of current competitive climate and be aware of future threats
  • Work alongside market owners to identify the hospitals most needing marketing support
  • Request VQ help with market specific needs and priorities (ex: rDVM, recruiting, etc)
  • Track and interpret referral source trends and active referral rates for assigned markets
  • Track and interpret case volume trends for assigned markets
  • Investigate and document ROI on any in market events or spends
  • Guide new leaders and current leaders on marketing basics. Including how to interpret trends and create specific and strategic plans of attack.
  • Create recommended marketing cadence and routing for hospital leadership as needed
  • Provide regular recommendations on allocated spend for all marketing collateral and swag
  • Recommend marketing tactics based on trends in case volume and competitive landscape
  • Research and investigate larger initiatives for assigned market
  • Understand and collaborate on recommendations for paid media marketing efforts in larger brand awareness campaigns
  • Actively seek out media/sponsorship opportunities in the market to elevate brand awareness
  • Own and execute larger events that span multiple hospitals within market
  • Work closely and collaborate w VQ marketing teams
  • Collaboration on creation and updating of marketing materials with information specific to market
  • Work closely with analytics partners to identify areas of opportunity based on historical customer data
  • Collaborate with paid media team to execute in-region marketing campaigns on a local level

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Communications or Business/Sales
  • 3-5 years of corporate/field marketing or sales experience
  • The ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Proven ability to develop marketing strategies and end-to-end programs
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with quick deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated success in being a team player internally and externally through partnerships and collaborations
  • Ability to think unconventionally and be able to take advantage of difficult of unusual situations
