Vertiv is currently looking for a Mechanical CAD Technician to join the Anderson, SC team. We look for people who are 100% team oriented, self-driven, and technically proficient. We are building a team of motivated and detail-oriented people who will produce a quality product for some of the most prestigious clients in the world.

This opportunity is for someone who wants to work within a technically driven team with minimal functional management and continue to build upon Engineering standards that has led Vertiv to become a global leader in Power Distribution Manufacturing. This means that everyone is expected to be self-driven. Our leadership team will guide you on projects which suit your strengths, but a willingness to get the job done and overcome obstacles is a must. This position is best suited to someone who enjoys a variety of new challenges, a hands-on environment and will accept the challenges and reap the benefits of working for a facility with a blank canvas. You will have an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to modelling and manufacturing drawing pertaining to Electrical Switchgear & Busduct product lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce 2D/3D drawing packages using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Revising and updating existing drawings, reflecting design changes as needed with great attention to detail, reviewing general arrangement, schematics, and other customer documentation.
  • Maintaining open dialogue with the Engineering Design and Project Manager to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and mistake-free.
  • Ensure all drawings and models follow established standards and procedures.
  • Manage multiple projects at any given time.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree in an Engineering related field with experience in AutoCAD with 0-1 year of experience.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail; be reliable, accountable, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and prioritize deadlines.
  • Utilization of AutoCad and SolidWorks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel and relevant project management software
