Our client, an established defense litigation firm is seeking an experienced full-time defense litigation paralegal with solid medical malpractice defense experience for its Tampa location.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to draft correspondence and pleadings
• Draft discovery and responses
• Review medical records and prepare medical chronologies
• Prepare non-party record subpoenas according to state and federal regulations
• e-file in state and federal courts
• Locate and work with expert witnesses; and prepare cases for witness interviews,
• Depositions, mediations and trial.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels including clients
****This is a timekeeper position so experience with timely reporting billable time in accordance with client guidelines is necessary.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE:
• Able to hit the ground running and work well independently
• Must have strong analytical and organizational skills
• Be capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced, litigation team environment
• Have knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, ***especially the Florida Medical Malpractice statutes and process
• Proficiency in MS Office and Word and Adobe Acrobat or other pdf program.
