What You Bring to Cambia: PREFERRED KEY EXPERIENCE:
- Thorough knowledge of sales techniques and insurance laws/rules, including CMS Medicare rules/practices. Understanding of Medicare products.
- High level of self-motivation with the ability to motivate others including agents/brokers; demonstrated ability to accomplish or surpass results/goals independently
- Detailed understanding of product complexities with ability to communicate and to negotiate with various parties.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong business and community relationships.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
- 5+ years or experience in a healthcare or sales industry in a commission-sales environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be currently licensed, or become licensed within 90 days of hire, to sell insurance (health, life, and/or disability) in the state or states where business is conducted.
- Valid Health Insurance license.
- Complete AHIP or NAHU Medicare certification training within 2 months of licensing.
- Maintain annual Medicare Advantage product certification.
Skills and Attributes (Not limited to):
- Thorough knowledge of sales techniques and insurance laws/rules, including CMS Medicare rules/practices. Understanding of Medicare products.
- Detailed understanding of product complexities with ability to communicate and to negotiate with various parties.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong business and community relationships.
- Proven success remaining organized and prioritizing work to meet established deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and ability to successfully navigate mobile applications and Salesforce.
What You Will Do at Cambia (Not limited to):
- Primary responsibility is to establish and maintain relationships with brokerage community that supports productive sales of Regence Medicare products and services to meet personal sales targets.
- Prepares sales presentations, contracts, and proposals subject to review by sales management. May participate in special projects/programs as assigned, such as training or communication sessions within or outside of the company.
- Supports brokers throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities, including marketing, advertising, sales promotions, and training to achieve revenue targets.
- Manage broker relationships within the assigned territory including managing events, appointments, bonus payments, coop marketing funds, promotional activities as provided by Cambia policies and procedures to achieve appropriate levels of visibility for Regence Medicare efforts.
- Provides active support of the Regence Medicare goals, sales and marketing relationships and support of sales at each functional interface to the brokerage community.
The expected target hiring range for this position is
$75k - $80k base salary depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The current base full salary range for this position is $64k (68k WA) Low Range / $80k MRP / $104k High Range.
There is additional commission/incentive target for this position of 33% of total compensation (37k-42k). Top performers can earn beyond their incentive, based on exceeding sales targets. The median total compensation including on-target earnings for this position range from $105k Low Range / $120k MRP / $146k High Range with top performers as high as $163,380 annually.
