The Division of Movement Disorders in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University seeks a board certified Neurologist to join the Department as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Clinician Educator Line.

The major criterion for appointment in the Clinician Educator Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should have ABPN Board Certification, at least a two-year Movement Disorders Fellowship, or equivalent, currently being completed or previously completed, clinical experience and expertise diagnosing and treating a wide range of movement disorders, be able to perform botulinum toxin injections for movement disorders, perform assessments to determine eligibility for neuromodulation interventions, such as Deep Brain Stimulation and Focused Ultrasound, and perform Deep Brain Stimulation programming.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have clinical trials or clinical research experience, including performing clinical research assessments.

Responsibilities are expected to include evaluation and treatment of new and return movement disorders patients in the Stanford Movement Disorders Center outpatient clinics in Palo Alto, Emeryville, and/or Tri-Valley, supervising trainees in clinical assessments, including but not limited to Movement Disorders Fellows, Neurology Residents, and Medical Students, contributing to the academic mission of the Stanford Department of Neurology.

California Pay Transparency Information:

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Clinical Assistant Professor: $235,000 - $253,000

Clinical Associate Professor: $265,000- $283,000

Clinical Professor: $305,000 - $317,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It may not include all components of faculty compensation or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
