Job Description:
Our client is hiring a highly motivated and skilled Network Engineer with a focus on cloud technologies to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation, installation, and maintenance of our voice and data network systems within both physical and virtual network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and have experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. This position requires a candidate who can pass a customer background check for access to facilities, equipment, and property. This is a technical role suitable for someone with a strong background in network engineering, particularly within cloud-based projects.

Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify network needs and develop comprehensive network solutions.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network problems and issues promptly.
• Conduct disaster recovery operations and data backups as required to ensure data integrity.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as applying software updates and patches to ensure network performance and security.
• Optimize network configurations for improved performance and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain network security measures in compliance with all cybersecurity regulations.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a customer background check for access to facilities, equipment, and property.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate networks and identify issues.
• Proficiency in network hardware and software configuration.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) I level preferred (e.g., A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
• A minimum of 4 years' relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Candidates with DoD or Federal Government industry experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate with stakeholders and team members.
