The Nurse Practice Specialist collaborates with the patient's care team to ensure that both practice and professional standards are identified and maintained in the delivery of patient care, and that mutually determined patient outcomes are achieved. The Nurse Practice Specialist promotes excellence in patient care while supporting and facilitating professional growth and development and upholding standards of professionalism. The Nurse Practice Specialist supports the mission, vision and values; upholding and advancing the clinical, practice and patient experience goals through systemwide collaboration, dissemination knowledge and provision of education
Part time, Nurse Practice Specialist (NPS)/CNS in ambulatory Pediatric Hematology Oncology and Pediatric Medical Infusion. Provides for direct patient care and support nursing practice through education, training, application and implementation of evidence-based nursing practice, protocol development and evaluation for chemotherapy and medical infusion treatment. Collaborative with interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient experience, support workflow efficiency She / he collaborates with practice leadership, members of the patient care team, and the patient to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager or Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or REGISTRATIONS (if applicable):
Current licensure as a CNS/NPS in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
Relevant professional experience as Nurse practice specialist
EDUCATION:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
Master's degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have a minimum of 5-7 years pediatric oncology nursing experience required,
Minimum 5 years' experience as NPS/CNS and or nursing education and professional development experience pediatric oncology experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Outpatient clinic setting. Occasional after-hours functions outside of defined working hours.
