The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking an open rank, tenure track, Research Professor to join our Child and Adolescent Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program (CHAAMP).
CHAAMP is a multidisciplinary clinical research program that investigates the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in youth. The research studies conducted by the CHAAMP team aim to advance knowledge of child and adolescent mental health problems, create novel treatment protocols, and train future generations of clinician scientists.
This role will lead and conduct cutting-edge clinical research in the area of adolescent mood and anxiety disorders, with a particular emphasis on evidence-based prevention and treatment strategies. Additionally, you will be collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a highly team-science oriented environment. Finally, this role will provide research mentoring postdoctoral fellows and other trainees.
Record of (or very strong potential for) developing an externally funded research program as successful candidates will be expected to develop and maintain an externally funded program of research.
Applicants must hold a PhD in APA or PCSAS accredited clinical psychology program or MD in an accredited program and be licensed (or eligible for licensure) by the North Carolina Board of Psychology. Strong record of research and scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, presentations, and other creative work.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:The successful candidate should have strong clinical and research skills and a successful track record of working as part of multidisciplinary clinical and research teams.
