Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Comprehensive Oral Health houses several disciplines including, Periodontology, Dental Hygiene, Comprehensive Dentistry, Operative Dentistry/BioMaterials, Prosthodontics, and Endodontics. The Endodontics discipline is committed to advancing oral health through therapies focused on preserving the natural dentition.
Position Summary:The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry is recruiting for a full-time tenure track or non-tenure track faculty position in the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health. The rank, salary and responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience and academic accomplishments. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in teaching at the pre-doctoral and postgraduate Endodontic levels; participate in research and publish in peer-reviewed journals; participate in duties consistent with school and university requirements for performance, scholarship; and participate in the Dental Faculty Practice.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:The candidate must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree, and advanced training in Endodontics.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:It is preferred that the candidate has significant clinical and academic experience, and be Board-certified or Board-eligible in endodontics. Excellent oral and written communication skills and a commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and collegiality are required. Leadership, administrative, supervisory, and CODA accreditation experiences are preferred.
