Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Greets and directs patrons at events.
- Creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Scans tickets at point of entry.
- Monitors guest ingress and egress, and assessing and resolving minor guest concerns.
- Troubleshoots minor ticketing/entry concerns, soliciting assistance of head ticket-taker and/or box office as needed.
- Ensures safe and memorable guest experiences.
QualificationsEDUCATION
Required- General knowledge at the high school level
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred- Sales or customer service experience
SKILLS
Required
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Ability to interact and communicate with a wide variety of people
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to operate digital, hand-held ticket scanners
Working Conditions / DemandsThe person in this position must have the ability to to stand for extended periods of time and move through a multi-level facility. The person in this role must be able to up to 10 pounds.
Additional InformationPosition is not available to IU Undergraduate Students.
Work LocationBloomington, Indiana
Advertised Salary$11.50 per hour
Work HoursShift times vary, up to 29 hours per week, depending on events schedule (this includes other IU Positions).
Ability to select your own schedule based off availability.
This job often requires working on evenings and weekends.
