Description:
One of our clients is looking to hire a Physical Security Technician.

Direct Hire, Fully Onsite in Providence, RI

Responsibilities:

Physical Security Technicians within the Public Safety Technology team are the on-site hands of the team. The Technicians support all physical aspects of the Public Safety Technology and Building Security Systems. A significant and critical responsibility of the Technicians includes performing troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on the Building Security Systems. Building Security Systems includes but are not limited to IP Video Security Systems, Access Control Systems, and Panic Alarm and Intrusion Alarm Systems.

Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of experience as an in-field technician.

Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repair, and installation of Public Safety Technology and Building Security Systems.

Proficient in reading and understanding security floorplans, architectural, and network diagrams.

Experience with the following technologies is preferred:

Access Control and Alarm Management Systems (e.g., Card Readers, Panic Alarms, Intrusion Alarms, Intercoms).

Video Security Systems (CCTV), including IP and Analog Security Cameras. Basic Computer Networking and Telecommunications.

Specific systems such as Software House, Inovonics, DSC, 2N, AiPhone, Genetec Security Center, and Axis Communications.
