Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Planner to join their dynamic team. This entry-level individual contributor role serves as the business manager for a smaller or less complex collection of merchandise. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating the Merchants' vision into viable plans and profitable results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain sales, inventory, and margin plans that align with financial targets for an assigned book of business.
- Planning responsibilities will include Sub-Brand, Category/Class, and assortment plans.
- Partner with the Merchant & Planner to optimize the assortment by cluster and channels of distribution (Stores, Internet, Catalogue, Wholesale).
- Collaborate with the Demand Forecaster to ensure that demand plans incorporate statistically based forecasts, merchandise plans, and business knowledge.
This role is a hybrid position, requiring on-site presence three times per week during typical business hours. A company computer will be provided if needed.
Required Professional Experience, Technologies & Additional Context:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, operations, economics, business, statistics, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning, demand planning; inventory management, allocation, or replenishment; financial planning or financial analysis experience.
- Proficiency in Excel-based functions, capabilities, and features.
