Job Description Summary
Responsible for initiating, coordinating, and managing Plant Application Development projects in conjunction with IT Business Partners. Ensure needed data / information is collected and verified to complete Plant Data Reporting Projects. Act as the Plant MES System Matter Expert. Responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing plant automated reports. Ensure Plant is current with all software ISO requirements and provide support where it is needed to comply with all ISO Par 11 compliance requirements. Responsible for setting up and provide MES data collection support of new equipment across the Plant. Collaborate with other MES site leads across BD to ensure best practices are used within the plant and new project applications are being replicated within the Plant. Responsible to support in creating, maintaining, and optimizing MES custom dashboards for all departments across the Plant. Maintain server applications and licensing. Support manufacturing networks/switches that provide connection to MES systems from plant floor. Lead site teams to evaluate business processes and identify opportunities for applying technology, particularly around machine data collection and manufacturing execution systems.

Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain and enhance plant-wide systems within the manufacturing environment including SAP, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), and other related systems. This includes system configuration changes, system support during operations, testing of new functionality and process improvements, and developing and implementing solutions to business problems using existing or newly developed tools. The candidate will be expected to work closely with end users in all functions, as well as IT staff, vendors, consultants and outside resources.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work on projects involving development and implementation of systems for specific business needs, such as application software, infrastructure and networks, databases, etc.
  • Understand and analyze complex business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including business analysts, engineers, architects, product owners and project managers to ensure effective communication, understanding of requirements, and successful delivery of products/services.
  • Assist in defining system scope and objectives through research and fact finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
  • Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
  • Develop and implement test plans and perform tests of new systems and modifications to existing systems.
  • Conduct user training and provide ongoing support for systems.
  • Evaluate interface between hardware and software, operational requirements and characteristics of overall system.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for responsible area.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Preferred.
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP and MES
  • Knowledgeable in SQL Server, Oracle and Microsoft Access preferred.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with continuous improvement techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
