The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of six health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The Program Manager for Professional Education will support the PharmD program at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy through 1) supporting and advancing individualization opportunities for PharmD students and 2) providing PharmD didactic curriculum coordination in collaboration with course directors.
The Program Manager will play a key role in operationalizing individualization efforts, maintaining policies, and ensuring the alignment of individualization options with emerging career opportunities in non-traditional settings. This role involves coordinating and supporting various initiatives, including didactic curriculum elective courses, academic scholars programs, certificates, dual-degree offerings, co-curricular activities, and internships.
The Program Manager will also serve as an education Manager for required PharmD didactic curricular courses, working closely with course directors to ensure a more streamlined and efficient course delivery process.
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities associated with the delivery and/or management of student support functions, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and at least 1 year of relevant experience in substitution.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:* Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, health sciences, or a related field
* Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple priorities
* Master's degree in a relevant field.
* Experience in education (work in pharmacy education or health professions education setting is a plus).
* Familiarity with accreditation standards and curricular design in higher education.
* Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
