Job Title:Reporting and Analytics Senior AnalystDepartment:Health Sciences | Government Resource Center

The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Reporting and Analytics Senior Analyst position. A successful applicant may engage in work designated as behavioral health evaluation and implementation research, including programs centered on substance use, mental health, criminal justice involvement, and/or child welfare involvement.

Responsibilities for the successful applicant are project-specific and may include combinations of the following: Assists with or leads dataset development and data analysis using administrative data (Medicaid claims, criminal justice data, child welfare data), electronic health record (EHR) data, or population health survey data; composes reports, whitepapers, and presentation materials; presents results to team members and other audiences; reviews work products from subcontractors; conducts literature searches and literature reviews; assists with the development of protocols and the composition of institutional review board (IRB) applications; and designs data collection instruments including questionnaires and data collection forms as well as programs them into a platform (REDCap, Qualtrics, or other data collection platform).

The Reporting and Analytics Senior Analyst is expected to perform mainly technical skill tasks, but in some cases may also contribute o project leadership and administration. They are expected to complete work independently on tasks with moderate complexity while assisting or completing advanced complexity tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight. They are expected to have excellent communication skills to support consensus building, serving as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues, and communicating technical information to non-technical audiences. The Reporting and Analytics Senior Analyst typically works on 3-5 projects at a time and have significant project responsibilities.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 2 years of relevant research experience with an advanced degree is required. Demonstrable experience with R, SAS, STATA, or SQL for data preparation and analysis with consideration for team-based code development is required. Successful completion of a background check is required. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

Experience in applied health services, criminal justice, social science, or population health research is desirable. Experience with statistical analysis or interactive reporting is desirable. Experience linking administrative or survey datasets together is desirable.
