Job no: 935883
Research will focus on the biology of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), using multidisciplinary approaches, including proteomics, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, genomics and advanced live-cell imaging. We are interested in identifying and characterizing proteins necessary for the functional homeostasis of the ER. We are particularly interested in the unfolded protein response (UPR), a conserved signaling pathway that is activated when misfolded proteins accumulate in the ER. The post-doc research associate will participate in multiple research projects on the plant UPR using the model plant species Arabidopsis thaliana. The post-doc research associate will be responsible for designing and performing experiments, analyzing data, helping with manuscript and grant preparation, overseeing and training other lab personnel.
