American Battery Solutions has a full-time opening for a RMA Service Supervisor in Springboro, Ohio.

Job Summary

The Return Material Authorization (RMA) Service Supervisor oversees the RMA process, ensuring efficient handling of returned products, including Non-RMA returns, service packs and in-house reworks while leading a team of operators. This hands-on role involves coordinating with various departments to resolve customer issues and process returns. The RMA Service Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing procedures to improve the return process and managing inventory associated with returns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and train a team of RMA service operators.
  • Assign and monitor daily tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of returns.
  • Ensure returns are processed in accordance with company policies and customer needs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the RMA process.
  • Analyze return data and metrics to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and quality, to resolve product-related issues.
  • Oversee the management of inventory associated with returned packs, including restocking, disposal, or repair.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and inventory control related to returned material.
  • Generate and review reports on RMA metrics, including return rates and processing times.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of RMA transactions and documentation.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance.
Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Management, or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Module/Pack building experience preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP software.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May be required to recognize small numbers, letters, symbols, colors on prints, and/or operate field instruments/equipment.

  • Able to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Must be able to manipulate equipment for calibration and modification.
  • Excellent depth perception and reaction time.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching.
  • Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, stoop, push, pull, stand, and carry as needed to inspect, service, and operate machinery, equipment, and gauges.
  • Must be able to maintain attention for long periods of time.
  • Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
  • May need to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and/or position the body to reach items on the floor/below knee level or reach overhead..
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts produced.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination.
  • Must be able to physically operate heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand to operate and repair heavy equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be moderately loud.
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
  • The ability to pass a human performance evaluation/ physical assessment.
