The Opportunity
The Production SAN Infrastructure Team works closely with the Server Support Teams, Network Services, Open Systems Team, Deployment Teams as well as various other groups in the organization to continue the support and growth of the MGB SAN and HCI platform. The team is responsible for 24/7 support of the data storage and HCI environment which is part of the patient care for multiple world class hospitals and care organizations.
The individual's responsibility will be to maximize the performance, storage capacity and availability of data and vital records utilizing an in depth understanding of storage architecture and virtualization. This position will have a primary responsibility for data storage and virtualized platforms and will provide operational and advisory input to strategic planning for the future storage and virtualized platforms. This role will be primarily dedicated to virtualization Support. This individual's responsibility will be to maximize Data Availability, Data Management, and Disaster Recovery strategies of storage and virtualized platforms.
Qualifications
Qualifications
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7 years I/T experience
• 3+ years of administration experience in SAN management (CISCO, VMWare, Hyper-V, Dell)
• Experience and understanding of Dell PowerScale platform, preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Very well organized and the ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments
• Ability to rapidly master and apply new technologies and methodologies
• Strong commitment to customer service
• Deep understanding of Dell hyper-converged infrastructure from design to layout, management and reporting desired.

• Working Knowledge of Unix, Windows, Linux

• Expert knowledge of Dell VxRack, PowerScale, PowerStore, and/or PowerMax
• Project management skills
Hybrid Working model
• M-F Eastern Business Hours
• Hybrid work model with onsite work at Assembly Row.
• Regular participation in on-call which includes carrying and responding to paging 7/24 during the call period. This may also require remote or onsite work to effect change.
• Limited physical activities to lift, move and carry light to medium weight objects.
• Occasional need to bend or kneel and handle low voltage cables.
• Travel to multiple sites throughout metropolitan Boston is occasionally required.
• Remote home access equipment and communication will be provided and is required.
• Occasional travel to professional seminars and conferences at MGB local Sites.
