Baer is looking for SAP PPDS IBP Resource for a 6+ month project located in Atlanta, GA.

Title: SAP PPDS IBP Resource

Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed

Description:

• Lead and manage the configuration of Embedded PPDS in SAP S/4HANA, including the application of heuristics for planning and scheduling. Utilize the Optimizer functionality to improve scheduling and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in S4 Production Planning, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP) with various MRP types, Make-to-Stock (MTS), Assemble-to-Order scenarios, and different planning strategies. Work with business users to optimize MRP procedures and ensure seamless integration with production processes.
• Oversee the configuration and maintenance of essential master data in PP and PPDS, including:
  • Routings, Bill of Materials (BOM), Scrap rates, Lot sizing, and MRP types.
  • Ensure the correct application of Special Processing Keys and other relevant master data to support planning and scheduling processes.
• Take a leadership role in the S4 Planning Implementation project, ensuring that the overall production planning and scheduling processes are configured according to best practices and business requirements. Act as the main point of contact for planning and scheduling related activities.
• Work with an offshore functional team to provide AMS support for day-to-day operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of Forecast to Plan activities within the SAP S/4 environment.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the Client Center of Excellence Lead and other stakeholders to implement the integration of IBP with S4, ensuring that both systems work in harmony for end-to-end supply chain planning and forecasting.
• Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement initiatives for the S4 PPDS and IBP systems, identifying areas for process optimization and ensuring business users are fully supported in their use of these systems.
• Lead efforts to ensure that changes in master data (e.g., changes in BOMs, routings, etc.) are properly implemented within the MRP environment to avoid any disruptions in the planning and scheduling processes.
• Support or lead testing activities, including developing test scenarios, executing tests, and ensuring that all configurations are validated and meet business requirements.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Embedded PPDS in S/4HANA, with strong knowledge of heuristics in planning and scheduling, and experience with optimizer for scheduling optimization.
• Deep expertise in S4 Production Planning (PP), including MRP processes, different MRP types, MTS, Assemble-to-Order scenarios, and various planning strategies.
• Strong understanding of master data in PP and PPDS, including routings, BOM, scrap rates, lot sizing, and MRP types.
• Proven experience in leading S4 Planning Implementations, including working closely with business users to streamline MRP procedures and supporting master data changes in MRP implementations.
• IBP Integration knowledge, specifically integrating IBP with S4 for end-to-end planning processes.
• Strong experience working with offshore teams to provide AMS support and ensuring smooth execution of planning activities.
• Solid understanding of the Forecast to Plan process and the role of IBP in driving integrated business planning.
• SAP IBP knowledge and hands-on experience with IBP-S4 integration.
• Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional projects in SAP PPDS/IBP environments, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical specifications.
